Top Ten Movies M.E. Can’t Wait to Watch Over Break
Thanksgiving break is swiftly approaching, and the consensus here in the Mane office is that it should consist of three things:
1) Turkey
2) Sleep
3) Movies
With this in mind, we took a vote and narrowed down the list to the top ten movies we’d like to re-visit this Thanksgiving. Here they are (in no particular order):
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Because John Hughes knew what was up, and who can resist Matthew Broderick’s “Danke Schoen” cover? So sexy.
Fight Club
This movie is absolutely insane, in the best way. Kudos to Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter for completing the Trifecta of Awesomeness in the cast department.
Moulin Rouge
Awesome covers, awesome costumes, seriously cool sets.
Best in Show
What can we say about this beautiful, beautiful, comedic gem? Nothing. It’s too beautiful. Christopher Guest is a genius. Watch it.
V for Vendetta
If you like super entertaining action movies and Natalie Portman’s face, you’ll love this movie.
Big Fish
Tim Burton-movie-gold. Funny, powerful, 100% entertaining.
When Harry Met Sally
A timeless comedy - the original “Friends With Benefits-esque” movie (but so much better).
The Brothers Bloom
This movie is dark, funny, and stylish, with a great cast including Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel Weisz. Sort of a dark-comedy-meets-adventure-caper-movie. You know the one.
The Breakfast Club
M.E. is just feeling the John Hughes this Thanksgiving. And with a script like this one and some powerhouse performances from actors younger than us, it’s hard to say no.
Harold & Maude
This cult classic is not only original and witty, but moving and thought-provoking. Scored by the great Cat Stevens, this film is one of those rare movies that our parents like just as much as we do.
So there you have it. You know what we Mane folk will be doing over Thanksgiving ;)
