5 Places We Want to See With Our Own Eyes
These places can’t be real. BUT THEY ARE. Vacation-time, anyone?
This is a “tree tunnel” in Ukraine. Trains actually go through here. WHY DON’T WE HAVE THESE?
This is just a city street. That people walk down every day. No big deal.
Temple in Mali. Where monks live and stuff.
Not sure where this is, but we have to find out. Because we need to roll down these...
Open Mic Spotlight: ALLIE MCDONALD
Sophomore Communications major Allie McDonald is an Open Mic pro. This multi-talented singer/songwriter/ukelele-master stole our hearts from the start with her blend of lovely vocals and cheeky lyrics, and we’re still hooked. We recently got the chance to ask Allie a few questions about music, performing, and Open Mic with M.E…

New Thoughts for a New Year
It is officially 2012, and for many people this is a time of resolution-making. Lists upon lists of goals are made worldwide and, with energy and fervor, humanity sets out to achieve them. Mane Entertainment is not the exception to this rule - in fact, we take our resolutions very, very seriously. We recently decided to sit down and work to find an accurate representation of our expectations for...

Here’s the deal lions…
As many of you know, we here at Mane Entertainment have been honored to welcome Top 40’s newest sensation Andy Grammer to play in our very own “The Living Room” twice in years past. Sometimes, we even like to think we have a little something to do with all the success he has now ;)
With that, Andy has executed a contest for up and coming...

5 Reasons Why Toy Drives Are Good for You
The St. Margaret’s Center Christmas Toy Drive is an annual drive held every year with the goal of spreading some holiday cheer to kids in need. We here are M.E. are more than excited to take part in this awesome project, and (with our extensive team of researchers and scientist-people…that we have…here…) have drawn up some reasons why you should be, too:

Top Ten Movies M.E. Can't Wait to Watch Over Break
Thanksgiving break is swiftly approaching, and the consensus here in the Mane office is that it should consist of three things: 1) Turkey 2) Sleep 3) Movies With this in mind, we took a vote and narrowed down the list to the top ten movies we’d like to re-visit this Thanksgiving. Here they are (in no particular order): Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Because John Hughes knew what was up, and...
Our Favorite Moments from the 1911 Ball
Last Friday, LMU got together and got CLASSY. We danced, we laughed, we ate (a LOT), and basked in the general merriment that accompanies awesome people being awesome. A few of our favorite moments from the evening: Recreating the original 1911 Ball picture….

10 Things You Didn't Know About Malika Haqq
The lovely Malika Haqq joined us last night for an interview and audience Q&A session, and we learned quite a few things about this actress, model, and reality TV star. Our top ten fun facts:
1) She was home-schooled through high school.
2) She first met Khloe Kardashian when she was seventeen and Khloe fifteen; Malika’s boyfriend at the time was Khloe’s best guy friend.
3) Her...

Check out ME's new performance series!
We here at ME have decided that it’s time. Time to start somethin new. So we created an acoustic-style Youtube performance series, sort of in the Blogotheque/Tiny Desk Concert vain. Very raw, very acoustic, very cool (….right? right guys?). Check out our very first video-fledgling, featuring artist L.A. Girlfriend! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNlVboTdL9U

TV series "The Protector" filming at LMU
Students on campus this past week got a special treat when the cast and crew of the Lifetime series The Protector appeared in the Alumni Mall area. While the Lifetime network may not be the most-viewed channel for us LMU folk, we still can’t help but be flattered that they chose our lovely campus as a shooting spot. We’ll keep an eye out for this episode to air :)

T-Swift & Past LMU performer Andy Grammer!
We Lions and Taylor Swift have similar taste in music. The mega-star played a sold-out show in Omaha with lyrics to “Keep Your Head Up” written down on her arm. Grammer, who once played a “Live in the Living Room” show for ME, will release his much-awaited debut album on June 14th. GO ANDY!

LMU Homecoming 2011
LMU pride was all the rage this past saturday-January 29th-as lions young and old packed Hannon Field before the Homecoming game against Santa Clara.
Alumni and their families were upon the first to arrive to the Tailgate event. Most likely in hopes of getting to relive their college days and share their Lion pride with their families. There were even future lions all dressed in little LMU gear...

I've got the magic in M.E.
David Minkin awed a full house on Friday Night with his, literally, unbelievable magic.
I took my non-LMU friend to the show, and when I told her we were going to a magic show she gave me one of those “you have got to be kidding me?!” faces before she rolled her eyes. I did my best to reassure her that it was going to be way better than any other magic show, but she was still a...
Valet Parking at LMU?
Having my own car on campus I have definitely struggled with the issue of finding a parking spot on campus, especially during peak class times. And I had heard some chatter about there being valet parking at LMU now, but really couldn’t believe what i was hearing-until…
